Cardland was started in February 2003, our first store was opened in the directors home town of Kilmarnock Scotland, the store was 600 square foot and was welcomed by the local people who benefited from the massive discounts that we offered on our cards, gifts and gift wrap. After gaining confidence from the response we got from the public we then expanded steadily throughout the West of Scotland and moved into various locations throughout Northern Ireland. With coverage in all the major shopping centres and local high streets right up to our flagship store in Westfield Castle Court which is Northern Ireland's premier shopping destination with over 20 million visitors visiting annually.
Our concept is simple, we aim to bring the top selling branded cards, gifts and gift wrap to the consumer at permanently low prices, we can achieve this by using our massive wholesale buying power to secure great prices which we then pass the saving onto the public. At the time of publishing this site a price comparison carried out showed that cardland was selling the same product as a major competitor up to 40% cheaper, now that's a saving!
We also like to provide our customers with a modern, bright, well merchandised and stocked shopping environment- focusing on first class customer service where we constantly strive to improve on even the minute of details. We use a special Italian laminate finish on our fixtures & fittings making them one of the most fashionable and modern in the retail card environment. Our lighting is the most advanced in the industry and has received great comments from customers, retailers and landlords alike.
Throughout the next few years we will continue expanding in all parts of the country, we are currently rolling out 1 store a month on average at the moment and will continue to expand in the same professional manner as we have always done, with up to 130 staff - we are quickly becoming one of the fastest growing retailers on the high street.
